66’, though more of a 65.5, original owner pre-ordered it

Hot damn. Kinda like my Gran Torino the guy I got it form got it when it had 7800 miles from the ford dealer it may have been a press car or something he doesn’t remember.

Nice! The Fastback has a little over 73k (2nd lowest out of 5 cars in my house O.o). Most of those were the original owner (we only got it from him around 06’), he used it for a few cross country rally’s and a weekend car. We just use it for shows and the occasional weekend, my Z was in the shop this past weekend so this photo shoot was brought on by me having the Mustang at Cars and Coffee, haha

Nice, ya my owner of my Torino was the guys DD and only has 80K miles on the clock but only 20 after the engine rebuild that was done 20 years ago. but my Gran Torino has seen a lot of travel

It got much else done to it or all original aside from the rebuild?

I would be too if it weren’t sitting in my garage :P Though I am a little jelly of my friends’s (friends’s? not sure what would even be the correct word, my best friend and his girlfriend’s) FoSt because those things are pretty fun. It was definitely fun chasing them up the mountain, I forgot how good the Mustang could handle.

Repainted same time as the engine rebuild and I added the mag wheels and replaced the rear bumper

Fairly similar to the Mustang then in hat aspect too, lol, repainted in original color, reupholstered in original interior color, steering box from a Shelby were all done by the original owner, we put on the new wheels and a flowmaster clone exhaust when the original exhaust started to pretty much just fall off, haha

Yeah, 65 had the chrome trim at the end of the “scoop” on the side. 66 did not.

People ask me if it’s a 65’ 90 percent of the time, so now I know how to tell them what the difference is, haha. Gas cap and grill’s were different too

They were. I owned a 65 and it was probably the most fun car I ever owned. I loved that car. Unfortunately it was an auto. But it had a 289. Hubcaps were different too.

66 hubcap vs 65 hubcap.

It is a fun car, I’d love to drive it in the canyons more but I don’t trust its brakes to much, I still have the hubcaps somewhere, haha.
